Owen Thompson qualified in 1986 from Queens University Belfast. He moved back to Coleraine in 1988 where he has worked in Waterside. Between 1988 and 2000, Owen undertook extensive postgraduate programmes resulting in the attainment of his FDSRCPS. MFGDP(UK) and MGDSRCPS, by examination, between 1993 and 1996. During this time Owen was a postgraduate clinical tutor for the Faculty of General Dental Practice and he continued this role for the Northern Ireland Medical and Dental Training Agency between 2000 and 2010. More recently Owen completed his Masters in Clinical Leadership from Glasgow University Business School, in 2010.
Owen continues to teach final year dental students in the Dental School in Belfast and enjoys mentoring graduate dentists starting out on their career pathway. He regularly lectures the Northern Ireland dental graduates on career development and restorative/implant treatment planning.
Owen has an interest in replacing amalgam filling with white composite fillings and is involved with practice-based research projects in collaboration with Birmingham Dental School trialling new white filling materials and metal free cosmetic crowns. He has published in many national and international journals, on the long-term success of these materials. As a recognition of his contribution to dentistry and his teaching commitments, Owen was inducted as a Fellow into the International College of Dentists in 2010.

Jenni qualified from Queens University, Belfast in 1989 and undertook her post graduate training in Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery as Senior House Officer in Northern Ireland and Registrar grade in Guildford, Surrey. She returned to Northern Ireland in 1993 to take up a locum consultant post in Altnagelvin Area Hospital. She opened a specialist Oral Surgery practice in Derry in 1995; moving to Coleraine in 1995 to join her husband, Owen, at Waterside Dental, whilst raising their then, young family, alongside a part time Staff Grade post in Maxillo-Facial Surgery at the Ulster Hospital, Dundonald. Since 1996 Jenni has worked part-time as an Oral Surgeon in the Northern Trust, based at Antrim Area Hospital where she works with the Maxillo-Facial team from the Ulster Hospital, Dundonald and with the Northern Trust Specialist Care Dentistry team.
She was awarded a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1993 and was invited as a Fellow to the International College of Dentists in 2015. She is a member of British Association of Oral Surgeons.
Jenni takes referrals from practitioners throughout Ireland for all aspects of Oral Surgery and surgical placement of dental implants.

Michael qualified from Queens University Belfast with honours, where he was awarded the Thangamuthu Prize.
Through further studies he has obtained membership to the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons Glasgow. He has completed postgraduate training in Dental Implants. Michael enjoys all aspects of dentistry and helping anxious patients have a more relaxed visit.
He is currently working towards a Masters of Clinical Dentistry (MClinDent) in prosthodontics from the prestigious Kings College London dental school.

Joanne graduated in 2000 from the School of Dental Hygiene in Belfast. After graduating she worked in a private practice in Belfast for a number of years where she gained experience treating patients with a variety of needs, including very nervous patients and children.
Joanne was also the secretary for the British Dental Hygienist Association Northern Ireland Branch. This responsibility involved organising lecture programmes for dental hygienists practising in Northern Ireland and liaising with lecturers and the association's governing body in London.

Jenni graduated from the School of dental hygiene in Belfast 2008.
She previously worked as a dental nurse for 10 years in private practice and is fully certified in oral health education and radiography.
